Hi All
Sorry if I am going over a point that has already been covered but I have read most of the topics but I cannot see this issue being raised.
So I have upgraded to Android 8.
Every day I Bluetooth my phone to my car to play my music and take calls if needed.
My Car is a Ford Focus with Sync 2, prior to the “upgrade” my stereo picked up all my song titles and artists.
Since the upgrade I keep getting unknown artist and song title, the only thing that has changed is my os.
This is also happening with my wife’s BMW mini (both 66 plate cars)
I have removed my phone a number of time and change the AVRCP version between the 3 options available.
All I can think is there is an issue with the Bluetooth not sending the metadata, as everything else works fine (phone, text messages etc).
Any ideas or fixes welcome as Sony Support have not been able to fix the issue and will not pass me over to the software development team.
Please Help
Thanks
I recently updated OS to Android 8, since then my phone will not connect properly with Ford Sync2 system. I have media audio (although no longer recognises song titles) but never automatically connects for call audio. I have to go into settings and turn off call audio and then turn call audio back on again before the sync2 displays battery and signal. Any ideas how to fix this? I have changed the settings in developer mode between 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 making no difference!!
bluetooth continues to fail android oreo 8.0.0 in sony xperia X, when the security patch for this device will come out.
So the BT issues in my case are getting more and more annoying. At first, I had connection problems like everyone else. Tried all 3 avrcp versions but couldn't notice any changes.
2 of 3 attempts to connect to my car receiver Sony MEX-N5200BT fail and only a restart of the phone helps.
But now there is a new problem. Most of the time, when my phone is connected, the Musik ist stuttering extremely. 1s music, 2s silence, 1s music and so on.
If this happens, I have to restart again...
Anyone had similar issues?
I had issues with displaying metadata info in my golf.
Make sure you're unpaired on both ends before starting configuration
On the handset:
-Settings
-System
-Developer Options (if you dont see this sub menu then scroll down to About phone - tap on Build number at least 7 times and the menu will be enabled)
-Networking - Bluetooth AVRCP Version - AVRCP 1.4 (Default)
Pair devices and you should be set, worked for me anyway
Thanks, switching to AVRPC 1.5 did it for me. Sony Xperia XZ Premium and Honda Civic Tourer 2015 (FK3).
