I noticed air passes through my strap hole into the phone... I put my phone in water before i discoverd this and noticed both cameras fogged up which took a week + to clear out... Is the strap hole ment to act like a vent?
they are unrelated, you should get your device inspected by your Local support, request a vacuum test.
Hi @Johny340,
The steam inside the phone body will be condensed when you expose the device to cold water, which is a normal physical phenomenon. Such condensation is usually very mild and will not have bad effects on the phone. The mist will naturally evaporate when the phone returns to normal room temperature. Please try to avoid sudden temperature changes of the phone to prevent the condensation inside the phone. The strap should not be a way for water to enter your device.
Should the condensation persist or if you suspect that something may be wrong with your device, then I strongly recommend having your device sent to an authorized service center in order to have it examined as @uliwooly suggested above. For assistance in sending it in, you may get in touch with your Local support.
If the moisture indicator went off inside the device then I would strongly recommend you to have your device delivered to an authorized service center in order to have it examined, especially since you noticed features not working.
If you're from Zimbabwe, try emailing the local team there at questions.ZW@support.sonymobile.com for instructions.
