Xperia Z5 sound during calls not working

Since a few weeks, I can't hear sound while calling or being called by someone. I have to put the phone (Experia Z5 compact) in loudspeaker mode and share my conversation with the surrounding public.

This is becoming very anoying, so I tried a lot to fix this:

- Resetted the phone many times

- Cleared cache of phone app

- Installed "Disable service" app and disabled goog play service.

Non of the above worked, so this forum is my last resort before buying a new (NOT Sony phone.. ).

Settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the phone 

also repair the phone with XC and if that doesn't work, contact your Local support

what about the diagnostics?

Well when I run the earspeaker test in diagnostics, I hear nothing. But the diagnostics is only a test, there are no fixes offered.
