Hey everybody, this is my first post on the forum here. (First-time, long-time lolz).. I have been a die-hard Sony Ericsson user for a while minus the past couple of years because I got a free phone from Tmobile. (Had T616,s700,p800,p900, and z555i).. So I decided I wanted a new phone and after a lot of research I decided that the Mini-Pro was everything I wanted in a cell phone and made the purchase on Amazon. It was $250 NEW IN THE BOX, which was reasonable for a nice phone as such... So here is my problem, and I am pretty sure I don't have a warranty since it is an international phone (even though it is new):
The phone's sliding screen is off its axis.. When the screen goes back into its neutral position, it goes past the point where it should lock into place. This makes the top sliding part to be shaky and it doesn't feel solid when pushing buttons.. It moves flimsy unless i use my thumb to keep it where it should be... Also, when I am in a call, I have a buzz when it is in its unnatural resting position, but when I use my finger to push it back to neutral, the buzzing stops (as if it is making contact to a place it shouldn't). This is PHYSICAL problem and not a software problem. It is very annoying and I am upset that I just paid so much money to have a phone that is near perfect.. I have tried reading more, but it doesn't seem people don't have this problem.
I appreciate anybody that reads this and can offer any type of help in my situation. I don't know if this is something Sony Ericsson will fix for free, or even if a cellphone repair shop can fix, or if a Sony Store will be able to help me.
Thank You,
Lee
If you bought it from Amazon and it is a physical problem with it perhaps you should contact them. Warranty's are normally valid if you are resident in the country of purchase and have the original purchase receipt. Did you buy it from Amazon where you live?
I bought it from a 3rd party seller on Amazon, and I believe the return period is over... And I hate having to go through the hassle of returns and exchanges.. The only downfall of internet shopping. Also, I am not sure if this is a problem that occured after use or not, because I don't believe I noticed it until 2 days later (I did not drop it or treat it harshly.)
How about ringing Sony Ericsson direct, I attach a link for their contact numbers world wide so just find your local one and give them a call.
