I got this phone yesterday, and everything's been working great except for wifi.
I have wifi at home, and the phone is able to connect to it (obtain an ip address, show signal strength, etc.), but internet is not available.
I cannot browse or use the market application because it's not really connected to the internet.
I only have this problem at home, however. Wifi on my x10 works great everywhere else.
My brother's phone and both of our laptops are able to access wifi at home, so I'm thinking it's a settings problem on my phone?
Please help!
Thanks.
Seems peculiar. Are you getting the wifi notification symbol in the top right of the display? I assume you have entered the password and so on, if the wifi is secured?
Hey stayceebird,
are you using MAC address filtering on the router? In that case, you would need to add the MAC address of your phone to the list of allowed stations.
Maybe it will help.

Hi everyone. To get my wi-fi to work at home I had to input my password from my router and now they're connected I have no problem. Hope this helps.
Hi folks, Got the same issue with my X10 mini pro, when I got it new wifi was fine and would connect whenever I wanted.
Since the dreaded crash andI had to re-roll the software from the SE webpage, the wifi worked intermittently then stopped.
Tried changing settings to WEP, WPA, WPA2 even NO security on the router but it still doesn't connect.
I know its the phone because all the other wireless stuff in the house connects and even my old SE P1 connects. What a pile of poo.
Come on SE you can do better than that theres obviously a bug in the software.
My phone often has a bit of trouble connecting to my home wifi. I just pull the plug out of the back of the wifi box of tricks, plug it back in, and try to reconnect. It usually works then. I also keep my phone plugged in to the charger or the computer, which stops it disconnecting if I leave it alone for more than a few minutes. I think I changed a setting on the phone for that.
Have you chek your SSID, i.e. the name of your router. Spoke with SE and they told me not to lable the SSID with characters like: /&%#_*åäöñ. and so on.
Use only normal characters and numbers, like asdclkj45. Android seems to have an issue on that.
One other thing, DONT use space. e.g. if your SSID is: sony ericsson, change it to: sonyericsson. Worked in my case.
