Updates Failed

I can't update my Xperia S using a pc companion. Can I go to Sony outlets centre to update my phone or any other wise solutions?

I have been playing around with pc companion in the attempt to upgrade my xperia T to JB without any success. The program just hangs on checking the phone. After much searching on the net I have just successfully updated to Jelly Bean by using the sony update service
