When you go into the phonebook, select a contact and swipe sideways along to messaging, it shows - very nicely - a thread of all your texts with that contact, with contact pictures to boot. However, when in the messaging application these pictures are nowhere to be seen. Is there a setting Im missing that enables these contact pictures in the messaging app or is this one design that SE has forgotten to make consistent between the apps? (boo hoo :smileysad:).
If not, SE better get their update on. I like these pictures!
When I open phonebook I can see pictures of contacts I have put pictures to, but I can't swipe sideways at all to see messages.
This took a wee bit of googling to find, but HAIL.... i want it to look like this.
Just had a look and found it. Thanks.
The stock messaging app doesn't give you a picture but the app Handcent SMS from the market does. You can set your own account picture for you too plus change the colour of the speech bubbles for people and background etc. Its a freebie so give it a try, you can always ditch it if you don't like it.
