slow processing

Sir, my xperia j is getting very slow. Im even facing problem in writing txt messages,it stucks often. I tried to with an attempt by restoring it. but its not getting any faster.  plz help

Has anyone tried cyanognmod 10 after flashing or rooting your phone check out sony developers world on more instructions on how to root your phone. Just stumbled on a community of two people who have it on xperia j and guys i can confirm that it runs smooth without lags. Went to see in the settings how much RAM was been taken n it was 128mb while sync was on that left 384mb of RAM free.  There xperia j's were running on the stock Android 4.1 thanks to the cyanognmod 10 rom.

on top of my xperia j I just bought a tipo for app testing and moding and ofcourse i rooted it and installed cyanognmod 10, I did it last night and tipo was running stock Android 4.1 without a gleach so far.

I already use this xperia J for 2 months already. The lags sometimes happen, but it's didn't bothers me a lot. Try not using lot of widgets on your home screen, especially that can give live update such facebook, twitter, weather.  Just use one or two on your home screen.  That might help to decrease the lags and hang on your xperia J. I'm still waiting for the Jelly Bean updates on this xperia.  Hopefully it will be seeded soon and make lots of improvement on this phone :smileygrin:

Been reading this forum since I bought my J over a month ago... I have the same problem you guys have... So I sent it to sony centre, i've waited 3hrs 4them to fix my J... What can I say? They fixed it! All of my problems are gone now. I just noticed my build no.has been down graded. From the latest update now im using 11. 3 .A. 0. 18...

hey dud, may I know your J's build no? theres a new update on its firmware, and I still thinking if I should update my J... but theres no problem now on my J since the sony centre fix it and down graded it to 11. 3 .A. 0. 18...

most of the reviews says this phone LAGS BIGTIME, maybe try waiting for the JB update.

come on!! lags are here again... almost after 3weeks of uses without problems... seems the lags find its way, sunday eve the lags haunts my phone worse is it wont go away even I restart my Phone... I decided to up date it from 0.18 to 7.5 via SUS... but lags are still here. sony centre's technicians are not available till dec 27... O man... guess I have to wait... (what could be the problem guys...)

I'v sent my Xperia  for "repair". Got back with firmware 11.0.A.3.28 If before I had frozen phone 3-5 times a day for 4-5 min now after "repair" from Sony centre its only 1-2 times a day for 1-2 min. its a huge progress but I am not happy obviously. I would not call these lags as the phone is not responding at all for 2 min or more. Its a gadget that is not functioning properly.

I would say to check ur background app and stop the ones ur not using moreover if sync is running stop it if ur done using it. guys just manage ur device and u will stop the lags for me after owning the device for 2months its handy to have an app widget on hand to stop unnecessary apps that coz lag.

E.g. facebook eats upto 30mb n restrict your home page widgets they eat up ur ram
