SE upgrades stop at 2.1! See here to upgrade to newer Android

As many of you know, Sony Ericsson has said time after time they have ceased production of full android upgrades for the Xperia X10 series.  "We  believe that the current Xperia range on Android 2.1 coupled with Sony  Ericsson’s proprietary upgrades and unique hardware delivers a user  experience that is on par with, and in many cases better than, a vanilla  installation of Android 2.2."

They are so wrong, it's not even funny.

The steps originally included in this thread are now outdated and I don't have time to update constantly to keep up with SE's incessant fw updates to block us from gaining access to OUR OWN PROPERTY.

Seriously????  No, I will never do that for anyone.  If you want your phone flashed/ rooted, you can use the instructions given and read....what is wrong with people????  I won't cost myself extra work because you're too lazy to learn how to do anything yourself!!!!!!!!!

I have removed the link in the previous post, some people will struggle without me directing them somewhere else.

Yeah, I completely agree.  since yours seems to be more up-to-date, and mine needs major revision, I think I'll just link to your thread in my OP.  I just don't have time to keep updating my guide because SE wants to be douches and keep us from rooting OUR OWN PROPERTY....oh, wait, this sounds familiar to the PS3 situation....lmfao

Anyway, in the interest of saving people from being confused, I'm now going to refer all users to this thread for instructions on flashing, rooting, updating and any other fw revisions that may need to be done:

OK no problem, I got tired of the the bitty threads so decided to combine them all into one, now its there is easy to keep updated

Have you seen this, don't know if it works on the rom you have running but my quadrant scores and around 2300 on average now and phone is very quick

Z says its experimental but I have been running it on the 2.2 freex10 rom without any problem for 2 weeks now.

If this is experimental, hate to think how efficient and quck they will get a non experimental version running on a 2.2 or 2.3 rom
