Satio Certificate Expired Error

Hi Frens,

I'm having problem with my Satio. I want to install some third party softwares on my mobile but when i tried to install sis and sisx format file, every time it shows error and error is "Certificate Expired". So, How can I solve this problem.

I think Satio is Java based handset and you cannot install sis softwares.

Actually Satio is a Symbian OS phone, although it should also accept Java apps.As for .sis files, I have read that these are actually compatible with Symbian but not apparently, with all Symbian devices.However,the expired certificate message might indicate to a problem with security certificates in the phone.

Any advance/corrections on this?

Yes, the Satio is Symbian based and can install SIS and SISX files.

Download this package http://symbiandev.cdtools.net/ and install it.

You will be able to then see the creation date on that file.

Then, set the date back to that date on your phone, install the app and you are done!

You can then change you date back to normal after it has installed.

Both Satio & Vivaz are Symbian based phone, basically, most of the symbian apps can run on Sation or Vivaz, only some symbian apps are for Nokia phones only, but some of them have SE version as well, so check carefully before you get them. Each Symbian app need a certificate to run, those cert have expire date, if it expired, either hack the phone or sign the app yourself.

unable to install software in satio, showing error certificate exp. i tried to change date also.

i installed symbain sis contents. dont know how to change the certificate.  how can i solve my problem.

You don't need to change anythingon the certificate.

Just check the date of the certificate using that software, set the date of your phone back to that date date, then install the app...

Simple!

Satio Certificate Expired Error...

downloaded software for satio, then i changed the phone date. tried several dates and tried to install.

its certificate validity 3-3-2010 to 3-3-2020. so tried the following dates...

1-3-2010, 2-3-2010, 3-3-2010, 1-2-2010, 2-2-2010, 3-2-2010 and several random dates. but i cant install it.:smileysad:

how can i solve it?

which date i have to follow? and why? really confused.....:smileycry:
