Pot belly, The back cover came off

Two years ago I bought 3 xperia z2 and 1 xperia z1 compact. Two months ago ended warranty. This phones always have warmed. Now one of the Xperia z2 ha a pot belly and has taken off her back. I´m afraid to use it.

Do I understand you correctly in that the back cover is no longer attached? I advice you to get in touch with your Local support in order to have the device sent to an authorized center, that way a technician can have a look at it.

i had the same problem... the battery was swollen so i poked a hole and let out all the pressure build up... but the battery never gave any problems......... i still got a whole day of normal use on about 50%

I am very suprised. I send it to the official technical service. They want to chance the screen (230€} The screen worked perfectly.

@Mipagon I recommend to get in touch with your local support team regarding this so that they can look in to it for you. This is a Global used based forum so unfortunaly I can't assist you with a local service case since service routiens, consumer laws and warranty terms vary depending on the market.

Did you enquire why you require a screen change if you think it is just the battery  if not contact them again but i am sure there is a perfectly good reason. With regards to anyone else having suffered the same problem...if you type in a combination of certain words regarding your issue into the Search bar i'm sure you will find some results......:smileysmileywink:

Hi. I have the same issue since last week.

My Z2's rear panel was opened up (at 1 long edge and 1 short edge). I tried to push it back but failed. It seems like the battery which might be swelling has blocked me to push the panel back to its position. Since then, the battery life also degraded. I am a little worry if it was battery related issue (safety concern).
