No WiFi Static IP Configuration?

Why is it that X10 doesn't have static ip configuration on wifi settings?

I need to configure my X10 on my network using static ip on my wifi.

Why do you want a static IP on your wi-fi?

Wouldn't that stop you connecting to any other networks apart from your home one?

Am I missing something?

Surely your router allocates the ip address to the phone

Go to WIFI settings and click the left button and select advanced .. tada there is yours static ip configuration.

You are absolutly right .. but in my case it allows to change the default dns server to opendns which make things faster.
