No Network Connection

Help please, im currently trying to work my new phone but to be honest i dont have a clue, it wont let me go on the net i.e facebook youtube or anything,its saying there is no network connection.

Is there somwhere i turn this on or do i need to get settings fron somewhere?

Any help on this id be very grateful .

its a experia mini, been in settings and tried to download them but it said connection is'nt available
