@Sria2 The proximity sensor is very sensitive, try to clean it and also make sure there is no screen protector covering it.
In addition to what @alexdon said, could you try to see how your device behaves in Diagnostics? Go to Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test > Ear proximity. In this test, the device should only vibrate when covering the sensor (located next to the SONY-logo at the top of the front). Does it behave that way?
Also, try to see if the same occurs in safe mode.
What do you mean, in a bit more detail? Did you get an NFC error message while performing the Diagnostics test, and if so what did it say more precisely?
