I am trying to bar nuisance calls on my Sony Xperia XA but it keeps asking me for a password, which I don't have. I have tried using the default 0000, but i just get a message saying unknown response from network. Can anyone help?
Hi @SueRen,
Welcome to the community,
The reason you are getting this error message is because you must obtain the correct network code from your network carrier to set up Call Barring, this is generally called a PIN2 code, however you are best to advise them what you are trying to do and they should be able to supply the number(they may call it something else).
However, you can block specific numbers within the contacts section within your device, simply do the following.
Apps > Contacts > Press 3 dots > Press Block Numbers > Add Number
Note: this is only available on 7.0 and above.
I hope this helps.
