c905 problem with GPS

hello. GPS in this phone is poor. Location Services/Status Info/Connection Status -> find some (1-2) satellites, but then immediately lose. so that around. GPS not find my location via Google Maps, shows only through aGPS. It also does not work through TrekBuddy. Firmware I have latest.

--------

In my w995 GPS works without any problem. With aGPS will show my location within 10 seconds. What problem is with c905???

Have you tried re-installing the software or re-setting the phone?

no, only master reset, 2 weeks ago. Now I tried SEUS and the same. I just try only GSM also GSM&3G. Nothing.

So to put things into perspective, how long does the phone take to locate your position under a clear sky with GPS only and with GPS+A-GPS? Have you tried using wifi (GPS only) as well as the mobile network (GPS+A-GPS)? Do you have a stable 3G/H connection when using the mobile network?

Use only with aGPS, Google Maps took over 4 minutes to fix position. few seconds, the position lost, remained only on BTS operator. in other tests, I don't measure the time.

I don't use wifi. I mostly cover only EDGE / GPRS. I tested also with HSDPA, but nothing.

Tomorrow I go SIM card replacement with a new one, according to one council. I'll let you know.

without aGPS, 1 minute and could not even find where the satellites in the sky. with aGPS joined on some satellites, but they also lost.

tested now on the balcony, where with no aGPS W995 find where are the satellites and connect to 7 satellites for time less than 1 minute.

Was your C905 always like this or has its GPS capability deteriorated from the time you first bought it?

I got the phone 2 weeks ago. The original owner does not use GPS.

SIM is new, but nothing Slightly_frowning_Face I'm already desperate.

Well you could try a phone repair via PC Companion.Failing that, because A-GPS is a service provided by the mobile network, you could try a different network and see if that helps.I also use a W995 on Virgin UK and GPS/A-GPS works very well, both through the network and over wifi.

However, it could simply be a difference in the hardware between the C905 and the W995.

operator does not affect the GPS. there is a firmware central-Europe, original, not from the operator.

repair via a PC Companion is still as SEUS.
What will make sense to repair through the Companion when I tried it via SEUS? re-configure all settings...
