android version 2.1 when?!....

hi guyz....im new to this site so im not yet familiar with all the things going on...but im planning to buy xperia x8 but one thing is troubling me it has version 1.6.....can i ask this thing....is version 2.1 available to download?...if it is where can i possibly download it?...plzzz rply...need really help here...T_T

And once more I asked when is the update coming, now on chat. They gave me the same answer... Already rolling out since Nov 1

i think when they said it's already rolling out what they mean is for the x10 family...so far i haven't heard any announcement made by sony ericsson  regarding x8 android 2.1 update...but they clearly said this year who knows what month...

SE is very slow in this 2.1 update. With even 2.2 out in few places, this is hihgly latish

Hey Moderators,

I recently got the X8. Please let me know when the latest Android 2.1 available. I had seen that its available for X10 series...When can we expect it atleast a tentative date??

hope this update will give us more camera features like ZOOM and HD RECORDING , it's the worst thing ubout x8 the camera , it realy is hi resoloution but no use for a camera without zoom .

Well I wrote about the update to 2.1 and my disgust that I was sold a "new x8" with 1.6 on it, a friend has one (I sent mine back in disgust at the end of last year)

Guess what they bought theres a few weeks ago, had to update it to 2.1 them selves and have been told that ther will be no more updates!

I rest my case!

Sony will go the same way as Nokia has soon and everyone will abandon ship because of flaky software, lack of updates etc etc.

Android is a great system so my advise buy another brand. Or will sony change their minds?
