android version 2.1 when?!....

hi guyz....im new to this site so im not yet familiar with all the things going on...but im planning to buy xperia x8 but one thing is troubling me it has version 1.6.....can i ask this thing....is version 2.1 available to download?...if it is where can i possibly download it?...plzzz rply...need really help here...T_T

Thanks mrbrillo, I bought this phone yesterday, making the assumption it would have this years operating system, it was only when I tried to install stuff that I discover the system is almost 2 years old on a phone released this year! It will be going back.

I did not know which version, only discovered problem when trying to install stuff. Bought as a "new phone" did not expect old operating system.

The tweets are referring to the upgrade being available for the X10 large and X10 mini/mini pro's.  Please see my previous post with regard to the X8 being scheduled to receive the upgrade later that the X10's.

X8 updates are still on schedule for before the end of the year.

xperia x10 has now get the updates anyone know if there is any for the x8 too
