Android software upgrade??

The peria X10 mini pro has the firmware version Donut (v 1.6) while newer versions like Eclair (v 2.1) and Froyo (v 2.2) have already been released and the other manufacturers have already used them in the phones. Android systems is ready to release the next version of the OS: Gingerbread (v 3.0) while we still use the crappy 1.6 base version.

When will the software upgrade to atleast 2.1 or 2.2 be available for the X10 mini pro users?

Hi all...like all i am also waiting for the update and i was so excited when i got the notification on my mobile that update is available..but when i tried to update it using the PC Companion and software udater application it said that my fone is upto date,I tried all the possible things like reinstalling the latest PC Companion and Software Updater before trying to udpate the fone.

Can anyone help me with the udpate process.

... mine is unlocked fone wihtout any contract with the service provider btw i'm in Abu Dhabi(Middle East)

I'm also having the same problem... I received the notification so I did the upgrade but after the upgrade I checked my phone and it still says firware 1.6... so what to do now? anyone who can help out? I'm in the Philippines by the way.

Some people received some kind of 'notification' indeed. But it wasn't an update notification to be honest, it might have been some sort of a flaw in the program. But i cannot say that for sure, that's up the people from SE. Most important is that SE already told us that the Nordic countries will receive the update as first. After that roll out, all the other countries will follow spreadwise in a few days (or maybe a few weeks in the worst scenario).

So just be patient and keep yourself up to date following this support forum!

One question for Suze.

The SE forum mentioned on 1st Nov.

'Android 2.1 update alert! Folks, we have started rolling out the Android 2.1
update globally. For India, we will start with the Xperia™ X10 mini pro
update this week followed by X10 and X10 mini the coming week. Please
look for the update on your phones or check for the update at www.sonyericsson.com/update'

The website mentions an update as available for all 3 of the X10 models in India.

Why don't I see the same on the phone?

Its a simple and straightforward question, One to with I expect an answer as simple.
