So an easy way is to put music on to an SD card via your PC and then just put the memory card into your tablet.

This is also a good way as it won't use up any memory on your tablet and is quick.

Since the recent update to Android (Ice Cream Sandwich) you can now access music directly from an SD Card through Sony's music player that's preinstalled on your PC.

Do you have any memory cards already?

Do you know if your PC has a memory card reader? You can check via start -> my computer on your pc and see how many drives you have.

I use Windows Media Player to sync with the tablet. Just plugged it in and WMP recognised it.

The only thing with this is it puts the music in the internal storage, but works fine for me

Memory Cards come in different Classes, which govern their transfer rates. The higher the Class the faster you can write data to it and read data from it.

Which you will notice when you are transferring Gb of data.

This one from Amazon looks like a good compromise between speed and price.

Not tried it but could you use Windows Media Player and synch to a memory card?

Sony also have some software called Media Go which you can download here:-

http://mediago.sony.com/enu/features

Works like Media Player but includes Sony's SenseMe which if you use Sony's Media Player on the tablet has a pretty visualisation option.

See post https://sony.co.uk/discussions/message/695101#695101 for more info on this.
