LF-S50G Google speaker Not Receiving Broadcasts - Cast firmware out of date!

Hi

I have just bought a sony LF-S50G speaker with Google Assistant built in. The speaker is great, however it has one major issue.

The speaker does not receive broadcasts. You can broacast from the speaker and that works fine, however it simply does not receive them?

I have looked at the LF-S50G Cast Firmware Version and its massivley out of date, could this be the reason?

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

did you check if the speakers firmware is up-to-date?

Yes, its all up to date, just the cast firmware is out! I have just been speaking to Google and found out its not possible with a 3rd party speaker and the Broadcast feature will only work on the actuall Google one's. 

So looks like there is nothing i can do!!
