XL201 & Windows Vista Media Centre : TV frame skip

I'm noticing frame skip at regular intervals when watching/recording TV through the Vista Media Centre. Has any one else had (and hopefully fixed) this same problem.

I'm not running any intensive apps in the background and I have all the latest Windows updates installed.

Could it be your display refresh rate? For PAL it is best to set this to 50Hz.

The refresh rate is fine for all other videos that I'm viewing. It's currently set to 60Hz so I'll try and change it, but I don't see how that would effect recording video.

The other videos may be at different frame rates, which is why it is only affecting TV playback.

Also, it is best to use the Sony video drivers (7.15.10.9813) even though they are much older than the current nVidia ones. I've seen all sorts of skipping and stuttering playback problems with the newer nVidia drivers.

Finally, is your signal strength OK? If you have a poor signal you will have jumps in your recordings. If this is the case your recordings with be tagged as partial in your recording history.
