VAIO Recovery Disk: Confirm the model type

Hi all,

I was trying to restore the factory setup of my TR2MP laptop using the
DVD labeled 'VAIO Recovery Disc for Sony PCG-TR Series'.
However, when I start the nb with the DVD in, after some working and DVD reading,
I got this error message:
'Cannot use the recovery disc for this computer. Confirm the model type'

I am puzzled! The DVD is the original one who came in the box - just opened it

Can somebody help me?

Have you tried resetting the BIOS to setup defaults.?

place the recovery disc in the CD/DVD drive

restart your Vaio and Press F2 when you see the Vaio logo.

wait for the BIOS to load

then press F9 Setup Defaults

ensure yes is highlighted and press enter to confirm

then press F10 Save and Exit, ensure yes is highlighted and press enter to confirm.

The Recovery utility should now hopefully load.
