Why can’t I install XP Service Pack 3

I have a Vaio VGN-SZ1VP_C with Windows (OEM) XP Service Pack 2. I've tried installing Service Pack 3 many times but the installation alway fails. Does anyone know why this happens and is there a solution to installing it succesfully? Not sure if it's the drivers that need updating, I don't kwow how to update them.

Hi imagery,

There could be a number of reasons why you are having difficulties installing service pack 3 but for starters have a read of this Microsoft Support acticle.

Many thanks for your reply. I'd read that article and couldn't see my installation failure noted there. Microsoft Support last week said it could be the Vaio drivers in need of update but I don't know how to check or source driver updates
