WinDVD BD Update 10.0.5.538 updater says its to install but it always fails

tried every method i know but vaio updater fails to install this update

What Vaio do you have and have you checked that 10.0.5.538 is not already installed or that you have a more recent update?

its the vaio updater that says i need to install it .

how would i know if it is installed if the vaio product says it needs it.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to WinDVD.exe – usually Program Files > Corel > WinDVD. If you have problems try a search for WinDVD.exe.

Right click the application and select Properties. Then click on the Details tab. ‘File Version’ is what you are looking for.
