vpceb3j0e laptop screen faulty

My Vaio laptop VPECB3JoE screen has gone extremely bright and can barely make out anything on the screen.  Have tried brightness control in Windows - does nothing.  Have re-loaded drivers from Sont website - no difference.  Have plugged in  seperate monitor through vga socket and this is fine!  Has the LCD failed?

hi saintsok. Is it the same in the BIOS?

Sounds like it could be either an LCD or graphics card problem, but it could be something as simple as a cable too.
