VGN SZ1HP/B PLEASE HELP!

Hi can anyone please help, ive had my laptop under 2 years and now when I press the power button, the power and battery lights light up and stay lit but thats it! nothing else? is this a problem anyone else has had? I proper gutted about this, ive tried to email Sony but still waiting on a reply.
Any help greatly appreciated. the model number is VGN-SZ1HP/B

Hi 1KSA and welcome.

It doesn't sound too good. It is likely that a repair will be needed.

However try this - it has been known to work: -

1. Disconnect the AC adapter from the VAIO.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Unplug all external devices (mouse, printer, scanner, portable CD-ROM drive, ...)
4. Hold the power button down for 30 seconds.
5. Connect your AC adapter to the mains and to your VAIO.
6. Use the power button to turn on your VAIO. (still with battery out).
