Hi there,

Not long ago I sent my vaio to the repair-service, cause the DVD device didn't run properly anymore. Now, most recently, I noticed that the fan nearly runs all the time. I'm not sure if I'm hyper-sensitive or if this is a really bad manner. I believe that there was time when the fan just started occasionally... I've got one month of guarantee left. So any opinions on this would be appreciated 🙂

What is the normal running temperature of your vaio..?

If your unsure, mobilemeter is a handy application to use..

Post back the temperatures recorded during normal use please..

wow! That's waht I call a fast reply 😄

Mobilemeter shows an average temperature of 67.0°C...
For the HDD it shows 36.0°C...

Try clearing the cooling vents of dust with compressed air (you should be able to get this from your local PC shop), holding the can upright give the vents a short blast from a distance of approx. 10cm if you hold the can to close you could damage the fan..

You should be recording a CPU temperature under normal conditions of around the mid 40's..
