Vaio meets coffee - battery dead?!

Hello!

Two months ago my Vaio was flooded by coffe. After some time for drying, now everything works again, except the battery! Although the battery and the external contacts stayed dry. The battery light is blinking and although the battery status changes from time to time, the Vaio doesn´t work wireless.

Does anyone have a tip or maybe experience with such accidents?

I´m thankful for every help.

Personally I would have thought it might be best to take it to somewhere that will take it apart and give it a good clean and can investigate the problem for you.

Hm, yes. That´s what I thought. Unfortunately this is hell expensive...

Never had it done, but I'd be guessing about £100ish but if it's a decent machine it's worth it

Do you have home contents insurance, including accidental damage, by any chance? If so you may be covered for the repair.

Good idea Rich, but would it then be worth getting more coffee and making the machine defunked and get a new one?
