I've just installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my Vaio VGN-AW21S on a new larger hard drive, and I now need to get all the Sony Apps back too. They're all listed on the downloads page but it is a bit tedious to have to click and download each one seperately. The download page says that a good proportion of these Apps are available through Vaio Update so I downloaded that first ...... only Vaio Update doesn't list all the Apps.
The original Synaptics tocuh pad driver won't install on Windows 7 - it complains that I'm not running the 64 bit version of dpinst.exe ..... Is a 64bit install available ?

Vaio Update will only look for updates to software that is already installed.
Sorry - you will have to install all Drivers and Utilities individually.
Updates cannot be installed unless you already have the original Application software already installed.
I'm not completely sure Vaio Update will work properly with Windows 7 either unless you have upgraded from Vista - not made a clean install. So you may have to check for any updates manually.
