VAIO TR5 WEBCAM driver for Windows Vista ???

Hi to all, i have tryed Windows Vista RTM Build 5840 on my VAIO TR5MP.

All works right but the WebCam not !

I can install the XP Driver and there are not "Alarms" but the Web Camera don't work and Vista can't after driver installation go on Hibernate or Sleep mode.
If I uninstall the driver (only in Safe Mode possible) Sleep and Hibernate work.

Who can help me ?
How can I contact Sony for a Beta driver ?

Hi Gabriele and welcome to Club Vaio.

All Sony have said is that Vista Drivers will be available for the launch of Vista. They will not be issuing Beta Drivers.

There is a XP Hotfix for this problem (HOTFIX KB909667 ) but I don't know if it will work with Vista. You can download it from SONY USA

The "Freeze" problem is the driver it self of the Web Cam.
If I deactivate it then Sleep and Hibernate work normal.

I must wait until Sony release a Driver for Vista.

Same Problem on Vista Build 6000.

May be worth trying the Hotfix - you can always uninstall it if it doesn't work!
