My VGX XL-302 nightmare

I got my first brandnew XL-302 4 weeks ago in germany.
Connected it to my new Sharp LC-32X20E via HDMI (1080p).
Result: Bluescreen when Vista Desktop is loading (nvlddmkm.sys).
Booting into safe mode not available...
So I brought the xl-302 back and got another new one.
Hooked it up ... Bluescreen again.
Recover Tool ... Bluescreen again.

Connected an old Computer-Monitor via DVI: works
Connected the Sharp via YUV: works OK in 1080i.

Tried out all different driver updates from Sony/Nvidia.
I can´t run the HDMI-Software Version 071025c, because the HDMI-display needs to be connected,
which doesn´t work because of the blue screen.
The latest Nvidia drivers from their home page won´t crash the vaio any more,
but the Sharp display is simply black.
When Vista boots with their default display driver, the Sharp displays at 480i.
But trying to change the display resolution results in a black Sharp display again.

I can´t get the Sharp to display any picture via HDMI using a nvidia driver.
When I plug in the Sharp via HDMI, while the sony is running via YUV, the NVIDIA
Control-Center detects the Sharp-HDMI, but I can´t switch to HDMI from there.

After reading in other forums, I realized that this problem seems to be quite common.
Having a BlueRay Player onboard of the XL302, I have no idea, how I can play back any
DVD in high resolution.

This is my second problem:
I bought a BlueRay DVD (Bruce Springsteen concert).
I can only playback the Intro, if it comes to play the concert itself,
all my players freeze: (Nero8,Powerdvd,WinDVD).

This is my third problem:
whenever I connected my TV via HDMI to the vaio in all my various test-sessions,
the WLAN stops working. (Seems to be another common problem vor the vaio).
This can be fixed by disabling the WLAN-Adapter in the Devicemanager and enabling it
again.

The XL302 would be a good machine, if the software/drivers would work, but in the moment
it is a nightmare. It seems, that the guys at Sony QA do not connect all available
TV-displays from major manufacturers to their home-entertainment PC´s.

So if anyone has new ideas on this one, any help is appreciated.

Werner

Welcome to the forum,
Yes indeed I have a Hitachi HD projector which BSOD's in Vista on an AR31s quite regularly since the latest updates came out. The solution was to boot up without the HDMI cable plugged in but as you point out the HDMI needs to be present on bootup to auto detect and install the drivers needed. All I can recommend is to type in MSCONFIG in the start and turn off all unnecessary programs in the start up and try to install the drivers again. The graphics card seems to be the problem as it BSOD nearing the end of the lengthy boot up cycle so make it's ride to life as easy as possible
