Leaving Laptop turned on?

Hi all

How many of you leave you laptops turned on 24/7?
Mine is basically a desktop replacement, so therefor never moves from the desk, and I have Acronis and Anti virus software running daily for back-ups etc.

Will it harm it if its left on constantly??

Ps monitor is set to go off after 2 hours, so that is not on all night, but everthing else, hard drives etc are.

Simply remove the battery as you say it doesn't move off the desk anyway

Don't forget your poor old hard disc, spinning away relentlessly! Still, with a working life of aprox. 20,000 hours, you should be ok for a few nights browsing (Jumpsuit could probably recommend a few good sites, by the sound of things)!!!
