Hi all,
Just got my new TZ21 after a lot of deliberation and bargain-searching after my original TX1HP had heat related motherboard problems and SONY didnt help (but thats another atory!)
Anyway, it obviously came with VISTA and I'd done a bit of reading and found I could downgrade/upgrade (point of view!) to Windows XP. 'Great' I thought - I'm no stranger to PC's as I work in IT support and build PC's from scratch etc etc
The only thing that bugs me is the last little note on the SONY website saying that Instant-On will not be supported under XP. Now I know this is crap as my old TX1 had XP and quite happily ran Instant on. Now one of the main reasons I bought this laptop was due to it's fantastic instant-on and DVD watching abilities, but I really would prefer XP.
Has anyone done this on a TZ model and retained the Instant-on features ? Or does someone know if it's possible to restore just the instant on utility as I know ou can restore individual progs etc from the discs.
Here's hoping
J
Ok, never mind, I've gotten it to work
