help please
Hi,
I keep having problems with my motion eye (cam). 4 of the 10 times i start the program (software) it gives me announcement wich goes like: "An attempt to initialize the camera failed. Please check if another software is using the camera". But thats crazy, there isn't any software who's using the camera. Does this problem sound familiour to anyone? If someone can explain this to me, please do.
I have a VAIO FZ11S laptop/notebook. Please help, this cam drives me mad.
Regards,
Veli

Welcome to the club,
Skype is probably the root of your problemGo online .here and get the latest version (two days old)which should restore the video capture utility.

Hi there,
Same problem with me... camera worked fine for a few days, with the utility program and with msn messanger. After installing Skype i got the same messages (but with me all the time).
I removed both Skype and msn Messenger, and followed the mentioned advice (first the hotfix, then the new Skype download)
I restarted and stil the message: "An attempt to initialize the camera failed. Please check if another software is using the camera"
Does anyone know a way to check if indeed the camera is used by another program?? I 'd really like to have my camera back!
(btw: the notebook is a FZ11S with Vista Home Premium installed)
Txs!
