Hi all,
I got a VAIO AR31E, 120GB of HDD - windows vista preloaded. Didn't install any programs yet on it. But it has only c: drive of 89GB of free space. I want to make another partition without deleting the VAIO hidden recovery partition? I want to make 2 drives. What is the right procedure?
Hi Hunch,
Have a look at the "How to Create a Partition" with Vista here: -

Thanks for the reply Blencogo. But wanted to know whether the vaio hidden recovery partition would be deleted by shrinking the volume. It wouldn't affect/delete the hidden recovery partition right?
Hi hunch
When using the Vista Windows Disk Management you normally right click on the partition that you wish to change, this should not interfere with the recovery partition..
Note the recovery partition in the instructions in this guide
