Function Key

I have a intermittant problem with the fn key, when I use it with the F3&F4 keys the on screen bar does not always display? can any one explain why,I would add the sound does go up and down even when the display does not work. Regards Carl

Hi Thalmas I have not niced any pattern, its not working now, I do not use Hibernate. Carl

You could try the following..

Can't remember what model Vaio you have.

Download the following utilities for your Vaio from Vaio-Link, (may be original Preinstalled Utilities, if so you'll need to extract the files first)

Then install the following, in order.

1 Sony Utilities
2 Sony Shared Library
3 Vaio Event Service

Once completed then re-boot your Vaio.

You may have to do this more than once..

Function key not working on sound appears to work on Brightnes,but no on screen display???
