floppy disk adaptor

Dears,
I have the following error message every time I started my notebook vaio 215M „memory stick/floppy disk adaptor“ "no drivers were found, the monitor application will terminate".
Could any one give me any advise to fix this problem,

Bit confused;

1) does this happen with a disk or not
2) which OS / VAIO model?

thanks, my sony vaio model is: VGN- FS 215M
I'm getting the error message without any disk
