Alps touchpad problem IE7 back and forward top of page

Hello i have a problem in Internet explorder 7 with the touchpad webassistant back and forward.
Laptop VGN-FE41S with Vista.
Alps touchpad driver 7.0.501.5

When I use the touchpad (via the webassistant) it takes me back to the top of the page, for example if I have entered a link, then I want to go back to where I was reading, it takes me back back to the TOP of the page instead of to where I entered the link from.

Problem only occours when I use the touchpad webassistant. Not when I click the Internet Explorer 7 buttons at the top left corner of the browser.

Has someone a solotion for this problem?

Not sure why that should be so.

The only suggestion that i have is to use the backspace key for going back a page as this will work.

Matt, thanks for the suggestion, but I would like to brouwse with the touchpad only, i guess its a bug because sometimes when ik use the back in the touchpad I return where i was reading.
