Hi mean_him and welcome to Club Vaio.

Try connecting an external monitor when this happens and see if you get the same result. This will give an indication if the problem is in the Vaio FS display or if it is in the graphics chip. It sounds like a LCD problem.

Colour change can be associated with unstable voltages. Do you have anything connected that draws a lot of power?

It may also be worth looking on the Intel site to see if there is a software update for your Intel 915GM graphics chip.

What are you doing when this happens? Is it when you are playing games or doing something else graphics intensive? Does the Vaio get very hot?

Sounds like the inverter not balancing the colours.
