Problems with restore disk on XP

I am trying to restore my FE11-H to factory standard but the system recovery disk will not boot but it can be read in windows. Could there be a problem with the disk all my Bios settings are at default.

I thin I have removed my recovery partition also so I can't fall back to that. Any advice guys??

Hi neilquane

Are you sure you have deleted the recovery partition, you can check by going to Start > Control panel > Performance and Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Computer Management..

A new window should open, click on Disk Management and maximise the window .

You should see the EISA Recovery Partition and the C drive, check the capacity and free space.

If the recovery partition is still present try pressing F10 repeatedly when starting you vaio, this normally would start the recovery process..
