I have a "SONY VAIO PCV RX305" can anyone tell me if I can convert cine film to DVD on this system of mine or will I need to send films off to a specialist shop for conversion to video first. also bearing in mind that my EUMIG cine projector was made before most computers were ever thought of so there will be no RCA leads or whatever for plugging into a computer.
I think you're going to have to send the film away for processing - because your hardware doesn't have any way to digitally send the information. I'm not sure how they do it, but they probably have a way of scanning each frame in and it probably does take some time.
You could alway do what those naughty movie files share pirates do and buy or hire a good quality handheld digital camera and sit at the back of your room and record your movies with the curtains drawn projected on a screen. Conversion studios cost at least £50 set up and £30 per movie. If you have ever seen a pirated movie they can be surprising crisp so I'm told...so the 'Lo doesn't give me stick
