Anyone else have a yellow tint on their display?? I have it quite bad on the bottom of the display and both left and right hand edges of display running from top to bottom. Is it possible with a firmware update that this issue could be eliminated. J had read on one forum that ICS update SHOULD solve it. Something to do with the colour calibration. I have also heard that it could be to do with colour temperature of screen, or the glue that was used to put display together.
Any advice would be gladly appreciated as this is ruining my experience with this device.

Hi All,
I also had an issue with the yellow tint on my XPS. The fault has shown up now, more than 2 years after first cases were registered on this forum. My phone was still on limited warrenty, it had 1 month left of it when I sent it to the authorised repair centre in Poland, company is called W-Support. Imagine my utter disbelief when service rejected the complaint, stating that the phone had I quote "mechanical damage to the screen and cover eg. due to dent or phone dropped". A photo of the phone was attached as proof (see below).
The picture is so out of focus you can barely see the yellow spot which I claimed, it's actually quite hard to make out the phone model!
So I asked the repair centre to send more photos with a description where exactly is the damage is, this time I got a better picture
Anybody see anything apart from the yellow spot? Nope, nor did I. So I ask the repair centre to mark the damaged area on this photo. No answer for 2 days, so I write that since they are not able to pinpoint the damage area I assume there is none, so the phone qualifies to be repaired free of charge according to the limited warranty. Then I receive an aswer like this "The screen was replaced by our company in October 2012 with a new one without any flaws (the phone was already repaired 1,5 years ago). Your complaint does not qualify to be repaired according to the limited warranty, since it was damaged due to an external factor".
Read it and believe it, that's the answer I received. No proof of any damage - plain insolence!!!
I intervened at Sony Poland and thankfully the next day I received an answer that they apologise for the whole situation and the phone will be repaired free of charge. To sum up, the phone was twice at the repair centre within 24 months of purchase and the second time it spends 2 weeks beacuse of this. I advise Sony to draw a conclusion out of this and review the way the repair centres are treating customers, it's all part of the decision making process when you choose your phone.
I also have yellow tint on the screen. What about the replacement after warranty period
Hello, I`m from India . There is yellow tint on the bottom of the screen and its spreading now. From another forom Igot the message -
" Sony Mobile Communications has identified that the display on a limited number of Xperia S smartphones may show a slight yellow tint if exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. This is limited to a small number of units and the cause of this has been corrected. Any consumer observing this slight yellow tint on the display of their Xperia S is welcome to contact their local customer service centre and Sony Mobile Communications will resolve this at no cost to the consumer. "
Will Sony Mobile Communications will resolve this at no cost to the consumer, after warranty period.
No Bro sony is not resolving this issue in India.
They are accepting this is manufacturer issue but they are not ready to replace the screen. I had a same kind of issue with my xperia s and I notied after one month when warrenty got expired. They are saying replacement will not applicable in INDIA .
I realized that do not purchase any xperia products with in 6 months or 1 year . After 6 months some will identify the bugs then we jude can we purachse the xperia or not it depends....
If still you want replacement from Sony place case against xperia in consumer court hope they will come to you.
I believe if it's manufacturer defect company should be responsible to fix the defect.
