After seeing the newly announced Android 4.4, which development has focused on optimizing the system performance and the creation of new APIs to improve application performance in general, moving the system fluently in 512Mb of RAM terminals, will there be an update an update of Xperia Type (ST21i) to Android 4.4?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Sorry, but the Sony Xperia Miro IS a cheap phone. It's not really, really cheap, but it's certainly not expensive.
I'm Macedonian and I hope SONY will make 4.4 update for low budget SONY smarphones.
I know a lot of people here in Macedonia using goodlooking low budget SONY smatphones, and if this update happen, IT WILL BE BOOM on low budget smartphone usage.
Dude if you are not satisfied with your stock ICS rom just use a custom rom .......Root your device and install the maximum apps on your external SD card and then the lag issue will be over...i can understand what you are going through am myself a Miro user but at the price tag its really a nice phone overclock it and you will be happy with it too....Peace out...
Hello guys,
Its ma 1st post here....about miro/tipo and its varients the last custom rom update for thes were CM10 based which means android 4.1.2.(which am currently using)that means cm10 was the max ROM which was stable so dont even dream that you guys are gonna get an update to 4.2 or 4.3 or even 4.4 kitkat
ya its true guys WE ARE NOT GOING TO GET A 4.4 UPDATE but since 4.4is a light weight firmware due to 3.8(Linux) based where its former were 3.4 so we can expect custom ROMS to jump out within 2 months or so ....so the new year may bring the 4.4 custom ROM for miro and tipo....
Tipo was launched with ICS 4.0.4 only, no Major updates later.
If Sony decides to release Upgrade, it will. LG releasing KitKat to L Series which are even cheaper than Tipo and Miro.
Is there a change that Sony's Entry Level phone such as Xperia™ Tipo, Tipo Dual and Miro will get an
Android 4.4 KitKat system update?
I hope so, because Android said that:
Making Android for everyone
Android 4.4 is designed to run fast, smooth, and responsively on a much broader range of devices than ever before — including on millions of entry-level devices around the world that have as little as 512MB RAM.
KitKat streamlines every major component to reduce memory use and introduces new APIs and tools to help you create innovative, responsive, memory-efficient applications.
It means KitKat is the solution for Past ANDROID OS.
I mean KitKat is the Latest but the Lightest Android OS thats why it is Recommenden.
Like ANDROID Official said that:
The mere mention of Android 4.4 KitKat is getting dangerously close to inflicting a sense of deja vu, as day after day the new Google OS has been making headlines and going through the press like little else. And while there is a number of new features worth talking about, and even dissecting, the supposed memory optimizations that come with Android 4.4 are what's really buzzing. And it's no wonder, seeing as Google's head of Android, Sundar Pichai, promises that KitKat “can run comfortably on the 512MB of RAM devices that are popular in much of the world”. This is pretty important for the platform, as it means that Google may finally have the answer to what's referred to as 'fragmentation', or in other words: it may finally have the weapon to kill off the Gingerbread man.
Someone said that Sony Xperia™ Tipo, Tipo Dual and Miro is the Cheapest of Sony,
So those devices dont deserve any System Upgrade.
For me ITS a BIG NO! those Devices are still product of SONY
so it means that they care of it.
Maybe they didn't gave a JellyBean Upgrade to Tipo, Tipo Dual and Miro,?
its acceptable because of the System Requirements of JellyBean
But not at this Time for KitKat 4.4 because it has a lighter System Requirements than JellyBean or Maybe in ICS.
And i know it is Recommended not only because of System Requirements
but also Because "it may finally have the weapon to kill off the Gingerbread man."
means that the MEMORY EATER APPLICATIONS desease of Gingerbread, ICS and JellyBean
has FINALY have a solution.!!!
AGREE??
Alandroed system does not work well there is slow at work, where at certain times in the case of non-contact reception Lighting screen Caller ID system hangs so much and why there is no update for jelly bean please attention and response:smileyalert:
Being Cheap is not the basis, the REAL BASIS is Compatibility... Getz?
