xperia t sound problem

i dont know if this is a fault or not, but for some reason i cannot hear any sound thru the ear speaker for calls, and i cannot hear music through the external speakers,

oddly i can hear sound and ringtones from the external speakers when i get a call or a text message.

Really confused?

well i got this phone on a contract, so i have been given a new handset, hopefully this was a rare manafacturing fault, and not a generic problem

I had a similar problem.  I realised that it occured after I had been listening to the walkman app.  I reattached the headphones, played then stopped a tune and then disconnected the headphones.Problem solved.

I had the same problem and stevo3337's advice worked so it must be a software problem. You would think Sony would fix this glitch:smileysad:

I had the same problem, but after that i tried installing the diferent compilations of  jelly bean the problem persist, then i just went to settings / sound / volumes and here i just started play with the controls and put the max volume of the three options  and set ok after the problem were solved (if you havent solved the problem with an xperia t please don't scare us saying that ours phones are broken please, is a problem of the jb software).

I had same issue after using Sony docking station DK23 Smartdock.

After unplugging, no more sound from the speaker. Replugging gave still sound on the TV, but not on the phone. I checked all settings, but speaker didn't want to work, even not after reset to manufacturer settings.

As my phone was still under warranty, I brought it back and Sony did an update of software. I received it back and all is working again.

For your information, my phone has now following versions installed:

Android 4.1.2

Kerner version: 3.4.0-g5b052b2-00814-g976ab37

Build number: 9.1.A.1.141

YEs same problem after using a bluetooth speaker when I disconnected I lost the use of the earpiece, but could still take calls through spekaer and through headphones.  Just the normal earpiece stopped working. I used the same technique to rectify the problem, i.e. played some music on the walkman app with headphones connected, then stopped the track and finally removed the headphones.  Now phone working fine.  Bizarre.

Plug in some headphones call someone then take out the head phones and it should bring the speaker back to life, another software bug from our friends at Sony
