Xperia T just keeps restarting!

Hi,

I have updated my software to 4.3 two days ago and since then phone is restarting every minute. Tried to use update service to repair and It started working well but the day after again the same situation. Could you please advice what should i do?

Hi all!

Same problem here. After updating the software via PC Companion my device keep on restarting. The battery gets hot and in 3 hours the device is completely out of power. (I mean: from 100% at 7 o'clock to 1% at 10:45)

I've tried all the tricks you posted here. The micro Sim is not the problem, I gave my phone to a friend of mine and with his micro sim the same happend.

Is there anything I can do to make my device work properly?

Boot your device in safe mode,see if anything improves:

Nothing new after turn it into the safe mode.

A temporary solution is removing and re-inserting the micro SIM and then restart the device but it's not a permanent solution.

This is very disappointing, I have to say.

Try to change your micro sim, and will be fain.

I have exactly the same problems since the update. The phone has become unusable when the SIM card is on. It keeps shutting down or restarting. If I remove the SIM card, it works mostly fine, without too many restarts. I am sending it immediately to a Sony Service Center. This is not what I signed up for when I forked out I don't  even remember how much money for this piece of useless technology!

Edit: I even replaced the SIM, so it's not a card problem.

You could try using another SIM,but it could not help.Wait for another update or visit a sony service:

I even removed the simcard. It just work properly when its plugged to PC or to  power

Sony stop sending this people to service and admit that the new update is the problem! There's nothing wrong with your phones!!! I have the same problem after update. This firmware is full of bugs!!!

It is a hardware issue, I had the same issue when I many others upgraded to 4.1, the power management chip in the battery is broken. Somehting happens post update process that zaps that piece of hardware. 

Battery needs replacing.

ways to know you have the issue I descibe is:

1. Phone doesnt restart when charging from wall socket.

2. Phone doesnt restart in airplane mode.

3. Phone doesnt restart when sim is not in the device.

4. Downgrade back to the 4.1 that was stable on your device. Phone will still restart as you describe it is on 4.3.

Those are how to know your battery is dead and not an issue with the update.
