I bought this xperia s phone on last year feb (2013). After two month of purchasing one day it turned off and was not turning on... After several atempt some how it turned on and i suddenly reinstalled android os using pc companion repair wizard. After that everything was ok.... But last week it showed the same problem... First symptom was turning off frequently without any reason... Then it showed battery drained even after full charging... and atlast now it is not turning on and while connecting charger led turns on without any display... And after some time it displays sony logo and charging symbol with red color in the center of screen without that z symbol inside that... Then i tried power button + vol up button... sometime it works and phone will reboot, but when it reaches lock screen touch is not working and it shows 0% charge and it will shutdown... Sorry for bad english... Someone please help...

Problem Solved... Just remove battery and wait for 1 minute. After that re-insert battery and now it will turn on. Then just charge full and update or repair using Update Service. I have done it and now my phone is working perfectly.
WARNING: As Xperia S has inbuilt battery, I think doing this ourselves will avoid warranty... So I suggest approaching Sony Authorized service centre.
Connect your phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2 hours
I tried it... But still ot is not charging or turning on... What to do ?
My problem is when first charger connected it will go through low battery level charging mode. After few minutes it will start Kernel controlled off-line charging mode. But there is no Z symbol inside that battery... , it comes only with red low battery indication... It shows not charging just like below pic...
Can anyone help...

Thank you, i really thought i had broke my phone from stamping on it due to an issue i have with it. I would get a warning message telling me my battery is on 14% which is normal. If i am out and i turn on mobile data, my battery percentage will then jump to 1% and suddenly a power off message will appear. Does anyone know why this happens? Is it a background application that could be draining my battery?
