Hello, I've got my new Xperia Ion phone.
The interesting thing that i've noticed that really bothers me that when my battery power reduces to 20% of power it drops to 1% after few minutes.
After that the phone shuts down.
I couldn't find any setting in my phone that do that, so I believe the reason is not the settings.
Did anyone experienced such thing and can help me to solve this issue?
Thanks
Vlad.
hello Ashok,
I'm having the same issue...my battery drops to 1% suddenly. I would like to try out your suggestion.
So...1> I need to turn off the built in power saver, and then 2> install battery saver pro
will this fix it?
Thanks in advance...

Hi urstrinath,
If you have sudden drop issue..then follow Nabeel's instruction:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/128862
Do it when it is 'ON'...
although the vibration happens even when the phone is 'OFF'....note the battery percentage before doing the procedure, and observe when you switch on. If there is significant drop in battery percentage...your problems are over. If not..try a few times more.
Let us know whether it solved or not ...
hello friends,,, I also experienced the same problem, I've tried various ways but all to no avail ...
the problem is the battery no longer hold a charge, and the solution is just to replace the battery, and the problem is resolved, I've tried and 100% successful ...
so, for those of you who still have warranty take it to the service center, and if it is not under warranty you have to spend money to solve this problem ...
for sony to be able to think again how quickly defective battery xperia ...
I followed below steps
On Xperias with built in / embedded battery
Note the battery %. Force shutdown your phone by following this key combination
Press and hold the "Power Button" and "Volume Up" for 10 seconds until your Xperia vibrates 3 times. Now switch it on and observe the battery %. See if there's any significant drop in % ( 5+ % or more ). Also there should be produced a gap in the battery graph like this Battery Screenshot . Then most probably the problem has been corrected.

when i was doing it my battery percentage was 29 after i turned my device again my battery percentage was 60
insted of drop it increased (a lot ) any thoughts
would it be fine as because battery % increased or is it no good
I have xperia ion and same problem.
I have tried this method now.
before I switch my mobile off, my battery was 80% ,and after switching on,the battery became 58%.
I don't know what is the meaning of that.so,can anybody tell me the meaning of this result?
I just tried this method. It was at 5%, went up to 39% after the method then started dropping down at a decreasing rate of speed to about 24% where it has stayed for the past 10 mins. I have no clue what is going on, if the phone is fixed or if i'm going to have the same problem again after charging. Please help as this phone has been a nightmare with battery problems for the past 3 months .
Got a Xperia T. At first my phone used to drain battery life rather quickly, within 3 hours of usage, it would go from 100% to about 30%, and as soon as it got to around 30% , within a few minutes the phone would die, and the meter would go from 30% to 0% in a matter of about a minute or so. Recently, it has started to die at 50-60%. Is there any solution to this? or is it something to do with the battery?
I've faced the same issue, even the battery power droped from 40% to 1% couple of times.
I'm able to solve the problem partially.
The main reason for this issue (in my case) is charging the phone from 20% battery level onwards.
Charge the phone fully and restart it couple of time. From next time onwards don't charge it untill battery % reaches below 10%.
