wifi switching itself on automatically

Wifi is turning itself on automatically. Two types of incidents.
1. I am using mobile data connection and when I switch it off after some time wifi turns itself on.  Let me add here that I dnt have any battery tweaker or third party apps like that. Able to see that its happeneing mainly whenever I am getting any mails (gmail) .

2. The mobile finds some open wifi connection within it's limit.
Thought of consulting with you people before heading to any sony service center

It does the same! but at any moment, not necessarily with gmail 😕

Do you have location based Wi-Fi enabled under settings > power management? 

Also check Smart Connect so you don't have any event enabled that is triggering Wi-Fi to activate.

Even i too have the same problem , Eventhough i diasbled the checkbox "notify me when an open network is available" my mobile WIFI is getting switched on automatically . And its completely annoying me

My SP also has the same problem even though the above mentioned settings were set as desired

Have you looked in power management and see if wifi by location is enabled?

Location based wifi is OFF moreover I don't have any wifi saved in my mobile

Still having issues?Try a forced shutdown.

Turn the phone on normally after.

Even after a foced shutdown the problem persist.can't. Understand why so many bugs with every update released
