Update 2.3 --> 4.0 for "EOS (End of Support)" phone

Hi,

i was told by the Chat - Support to ask my question here.
How can i update my Xperia Active phone to Android 4.0 --> the update is no more availabe since 03/2016, but I need it to install Play - Store and other Apps, which need at least 4.0.

I'm sorry to say that it won't be possible to update your Xperia active to Android 4.0.

This is because the device has reached its end of support and cannot be updated using the computer applications Xperia Companion, PC Companion or Sony Bridge for Mac.
